What Is a Snap-On Denture?

A snap-on denture, clinically called an implant-supported overdenture, or a removable denture on implants, is a denture that snaps onto dental implants placed in your jawbone. The dental implants hold it in place.

2 implants

Usually placed on the lower arch, where a regular denture slips the most.
Stable enough to eat normally and talk without difficulty.

You wear it during the day like a regular denture, except it stays secure. At night, you take it out, clean it, and put it back in the next morning.

4 implants

Four anchor points instead of two. Closer to the feel of natural, but still
removable for cleaning.

Removable dental care is what denturists do, every day, for decades. A general dentist might make a snap-on a handful of times a year. We make them weekly. The difference shows up in the fit. We design every denture that goes into a patient’s mouth.

How It Works

1

Free Consultation

We work with the dentist to help determine whether dental implants are the right fit for you. We will also walk through whether 2 or 4 dental implants makes sense for you.

2

Smile Design

We design and fabricate your new smile, the look, the shape, and the shade, ahead of extractions. Built around your features, scanned and designed digitally in our own lab.

3

Implant Placement

The dental implants are placed by the dentist we partner with. You'll wear a functional, temporary denture during the healing period.

4

Healing

Your dental implants need a short healing period before the final snap-on denture goes on. You wear a functional, temporary denture the whole way through, so you're never without teeth, and we see you for any adjustments.

5

Snap-On Delivery

Once healed, we connect the denture to the dental implants and deliver your final snap-on denture. It connects to the dental implants and stays secure.

6

6 Months of Free Adjustments

Any adjustments needed in the first 6 months are free. We aim to help you every step of your journey, including through any necessary after care.

Quick Answer

How often do i take the denture out?

Daily, for cleaning. You snap it in for the day, pop it out at night.

Yes. That's the whole point of a snap on denture. It doesn't slip the way a regular denture does, and you'll feel the difference right away, especially on the lower arch.

With proper care and maintenance, dental implants are designed to be permanent. The denture itself wears over years and may need replacement eventually, though the dental implants are a long-term foundation.

For the first few weeks while healing, yes. After full healing, no. Dental implants give you the ability to eat what you want and gain the quality of life you deserve.

Often yes, depending on your dental implants and bone. We can walk through that path at any time.

Free adjustments and repairs on the denture and any snap on denture componentry. The warranty does not cover the implant fixture in the jaw bone.
