For patients whose denture broke at the worst possible moment.

Broken Denture? Loose Fit? Bring It In.

Most Repairs Same Day at Hood River, The Dalles, and Hermiston.

For relines, come in for a consultation first, not a same-day drop-off. Repairs and relines are part of what the Chapman family does every day.

Common Denture Issues We Fix

Fractured or Broken Acrylic

A drop, an impact, or just years of wear. Dentures can fracture. We repair most fractures in-house, often within a few hours.

Broken or Missing Teeth on the Denture

A tooth pops off or breaks. Bring it in, with the tooth if you still have it. In most cases we reset or replace the tooth.

Loose Fit (Reline Needed)

If your denture used to fit and now feels loose, your gums and jaw have changed shape. A reline reshapes the inside of the denture so it sits properly again. Most relines are done same day.

Broken Clasps on a Partial Denture

The metal or acrylic clasps that hold your partial in place can wear, bend, or break. Some clasps can be repaired the same day, while others may need to be sent to a framework lab for repair or replacement.

Fractured Framework

The internal framework that gives a partial denture its structure can fracture under stress. Framework repairs almost always go to an outside lab, so plan on turnaround time rather than same-day for these.

Why the In-House Lab Matters for Repairs

Many dental offices send dentures to an outside laboratory for repairs, which can mean going days or even longer without your denture. We provide convenient denture repair services to help restore your denture promptly and get you back to normal as quickly as possible.

Digital scanning, printing, designing, and our own mills are all under one roof at Hood River. Denture repairs at any of the three offices, including The Dalles and Hermiston, are same-day in most cases. Framework repairs on partial dentures are the exception, as those almost always go to an outside lab. For relines, you’ll come in for a consultation first, and we’ll schedule the reline appointment from there.

What that means:

You don’t go days without a denture on most repairs.

Schedule an appointment, in most cases you leave with it the same day.

Quality control stays in-house.

Our team checks the fit, function, and finish before your repair is complete.

Reline vs. Repair vs. Replace

Sometimes a quick repair is enough. Sometimes a reline solves the fit. Sometimes it’s time to replace the denture entirely.

Compare
What it is
When it's the right call

Repair

Fix a fracture, replace a broken tooth, or repair a clasp

A specific, isolated issue, or if the denture has only minimal wear.

Reline

Reshape the inside of the denture to fit your current gums and jaw

The denture has only minimal wear, but it has become loose or sore.

Replace

Build a new denture

The denture is worn out, the material has degraded, or the fit has changed too much for a reline

We’ll evaluate your denture and recommend the option that makes the most sense for you. If a repair can restore its fit and function, we’ll recommend a repair rather than unnecessary replacement.

How It Works

1

Call Ahead (Then Bring It In)

Call us first at any of our three Columbia River Gorge locations. Calling ahead makes sure we're actually in that office on the day you plan to come by, and that we've got the time booked to do the repair same-day.

2

Quick Assessment

We look at the denture, identify the issue, and tell you whether it needs to be repaired, relined, or replaced.

3

Same-Day Turnaround (When Possible)

Most repairs at any of the three offices are same-day in most cases. Framework repairs on partial dentures go to an outside lab, so those take longer. For relines, come in for a consultation first, and we’ll schedule the reline appointment from there.

4

Test the Fit Before You Leave

We check the fit before you leave. If an adjustment is needed, we’ll make the necessary refinements to ensure your denture is comfortable and fits properly.

Pricing

Repair and reline pricing depends on what’s needed. We quote at the time, based on the work involved.

If you have a 6-month warranty window still active on a denture we made, repairs and adjustments during that time will be taken care of free-of-charge.

Quick Answer

Do you repair dentures made by other practices?

Yes, on a case-by-case basis. Bring it in for a free inspection — if it's something we can repair or adjust, we'd be happy to help. If not, we'll point you back to the office that made it, or we can talk about replacing it here.

For relines, come in for a consultation first. We’ll assess the fit, and schedule the reline appointment from there.

It depends on the condition, extent of the damage, and age of your denture. Bring it in for an evaluation, and we’ll give you an honest recommendation based on what’s best for your fit, function, and comfort.

Typically every 2 to 5 years, but it varies. If your denture has become loose, shifts while eating, or begins causing irritation in areas that were previously comfortable, it may be time for a reline to restore a more secure, comfortable fit.

If a denture keeps breaking, it’s usually a signal that it’s time for a replacement.

Don’t Wear a Broken or Loose Denture

Schedule an appointment with any of our three Columbia River Gorge locations. Most repairs are completed the same day at any of our offices. Framework repairs for partial dentures are sent to an outside laboratory and may require additional time. For relines, we recommend starting with an in-office consultation to determine the best solution for your denture.
