The WestCoast Process

Here's What to Expect.

Here's what you can expect from your first call through the day you leave with a smile you love.

Step 1

The Free Consultation

Your first visit may take up to an hour. We take the time to understand your needs, answer your questions, and explain your options clearly. There's no pressure or obligation to make a decision during your visit.

Take all the time you need to decide what feels right for you. If more questions come up, you're always welcome to return for another consultation.

Step 2

Smile Design

Once you've chosen the option that's right for you, we begin designing your smile. We use digital scanning to capture your mouth accurately, then work with you to determine the details of your new smile — from the size, shape, shade, and alignment of your teeth to the overall look you want to achieve. If you have a photo of your previous smile or a smile you'd like to recreate, bring it with you. We can use it as a reference throughout the design process.

Some patients prefer a naturally straight, uniform smile. Others want to preserve a small gap, subtle character, or the unique details of their original smile. Whatever you prefer, we design your teeth to complement your face, your features, and your personal style.

Then we make your denture in-house, giving us direct control over the design, craftsmanship, and final result.

Step 3

Built in Our Lab

Christian Chapman and the WestCoast team design and build your teeth right here in our own laboratory. Our standard dentures and snap-on dentures are milled entirely in-house, from start to finish, giving us greater control over the quality, fit, and final result.

Your case is designed and built in-house.

We don't send your case to a third-party lab to design and manufacture from scratch.

Your denturist is involved throughout the process.

Every case is reviewed and quality-controlled by our team in-house.

Adjustments are handled here, too.

If your denture needs adjusting after you take it home, we can make the necessary adjustments at our office.

Step 4

Healing & Try-Ins

You'll wear your temporary denture while your mouth heals, with adjustments along the way to keep you comfortable. Once your gums and tissues have healed adequately, we'll move forward with your final teeth.

If you'd like to refine the smile, whether it's the shade, size, shape, or other details, we can make adjustments through a series of try-ins. Your final teeth are made once the design is right and your mouth is ready.

Step 5

Your Final Teeth

Implant-supported snap-on dentures

Your final denture is delivered once your implants have fully healed and are ready for your new teeth.

New standard dentures

There's no implant healing period. Once your denture has been fitted and any necessary adjustments are complete, your final denture is ready to wear.

In every case, we take the time to make sure your denture fits comfortably, functions properly, and looks natural before it's considered finished.

Step 6

Warranty + Ongoing Care

We're a family-owned practice serving the Columbia River Gorge, and many of our patients have been with us for years. We value those long-term relationships and the trust our community places in us.

We provide the highest standard of care:

Snap-on dentures on implants

6 months of free adjustments and repairs

Standard dentures

6 months of free adjustments and repairs

A Note on Surgical Coordination

Implant placement is performed by the dentist we partner with. Once your implants are placed, WestCoast handles the denture design, fabrication, fitting, and ongoing care.

Quick Answer

Will I be without teeth at any point?

No. We design your case in advance, so your temporary denture is ready for you the day your implants are placed or your teeth are removed. You won't have to go without teeth while your final restoration is being completed.

That’s exactly what the try-in stage is designed for. We’ll refine the fit, shape, shade, and overall appearance until everything looks and feels right to you. Your final denture isn’t made until you’ve approved the design.

No referral is needed. Anyone can schedule a free consultation directly with our team.

The timeline depends on the treatment you choose. A new denture may take a few weeks or several months, depending on your individual needs. Snap-on dentures follow the healing timeline of your implants. Throughout the healing process, you’ll have a temporary denture, so you’re never left without teeth.
